Welcome back to Restorative Grief with Mandy Capehart. You are listening to episode 16, titled Where’s my Damn Rulebook? with Debbie O’Dea. We are diving into 2022 with a very tender subject; one close to my heart as well. This is a very vulnerable conversation about infertility and baby loss, so if you’re not in a place to hear it, please feel free to skip the episode. Debbie is a mother of one who never made it earth side, and today we are talking about the difficulty of navigating such a loss in a world that has no rules or definitions for how to do so.
Debbie is also a dear friend of mine, as well as one of the brilliant administrators who helps me run the Restorative Grief Project on Facebook. For those of you unfamiliar with it, the Restorative Grief Project is a private, online coaching group that is full of resources and gentle storytellers. Like this podcast, it was created as a soft landing space to fall apart with the promise of a platitude free arena. We welcome the quiet and the talkative ones; those with a loss only days old and those continuing to learn what grief means 40 years later. If you are in need of a community to simply observe what gentle movement through loss looks like, we would be honored to have you join us. You can find a link to the group in our show notes, or simply search Restorative Grief Project on Facebook.
