Welcome back to Restorative Grief with Mandy Capehart. You are listening to episode 20, titled On Hope & Paradox with Duane Toops. This episode is a beautiful conversation with my friend and fellow griever, Duane Toops. Duane is a Florida-based author, artist, poet – all around creator. When we first connected, I was a guest on a podcast he co-hosts called The Unusual Buddha, where we talked about the value of grief literacy and the importance of holding space for others. I wanted to share a conversation on my show with Duane because the depth he reaches for in his pursuit of grief literacy is remarkable. The intention he places on the process of creating and exploring the unknown, mysterious parts of life is the same curiosity that can aid our healing process through grief. So I’m grateful you’re here, and would encourage you to simply sit back and enjoy the heart of an artist on the topic of life and loss.
